HIGHLIGHT STORY
Serving the Community for 30 Years
2004 marks the 30-year anniversary of the Sexual Assault Center of Northeast Georgia, Inc.
The Center's roots formed in 1974 as a response to a serial rapist-The Boulevard Rapist.......
In its 30th year, the Center continues to increase the number of child and adult clients served.
Since January of this year, the Center has served 259 new clients; this is a 23% increase from numbers served
at this point last year. For the first time ever, the Center had to put children in need of services on a waiting
list. Likewise, the education and outreach program reached more than ever before-over 8,000
individuals. ......
